Since yesterday I am back from Costa Rica, the beautiful treasure in Central America. Beside many personal memories and encounters with locals and other travellers I  I took a couple of photos home. All pictures are just for personal purposes and are my visualls from the last three weeks there.
This first of two posts is all about the pacific coast of Cost Rica. On Monday I will post the western, the caribean cost.

Ferienabwesenheit (25.01 – 14.02) / Buenos días Costa Rica

Nice beach to rest after diving

After an increbibly exciting, amazing but intense 2013 wedding season it is about time to recharge batteries. And I am not talking about the ones from the camera… From the 25th of January until the 14th of February I will be in Costa Rica and will enjoy the so called pura-vida-lifestyle. Therefore, I will not check my E-Mails on a daily basis and I will only reply to the very important and urgent ones. Of course, it is the same with phone calls. As soon as I am back here in Switzerland I am happy to reply to all E-Mails, voice messages and phone calls. Thank you so much for your understanding. And maybe (or maybe not) I will post some photos from Costa Rica on the blog. So stay tuned for some updates…

Only a few visual impressions from my trip to Berlin from last November. We were so busy checking out all sights, meeting friends and eating all the amazing food that Berlin offers that I did not really take many frames… All photos were taken with my Fujifilm x100s.

It’s really crazy, how fast the time flies these days. Since the engagement session with Andrea and Marc over four months passed by.

On the shooting day the temperatures were not too warm anymore. But this had no impact on the laid-back atmosphere we had during the shoot. But this is not suprising at all as Andrea and Marc became friends of mine over the last few years. Andrea is a photographer as well and she even shot the wedding last June where I was a best man. Therefore I was more than honored that they asked me to shoot their engagement photos.
At some point during the session they mentioned that they have planned to get into the lake in order to have a special photo. Even though I was hooked by this idea I was still not to sure if it would work out. Not photography-wise, more because it was pretty chilly on that day. After both got into the lake I realized that I have to get in too to get the picture I had in my mind. The only problem was that I had no swmming trunks or a bathing towl with me – but that did not stop me :) And after all, I think it was really worth the goosebumps
